CECILE RIVARD (nee HOUDE) Peacefully at Oakview Place on Tuesday, June 27, 2000, Cecile Rivard formerly of St. Norbert and St. Eustache), passed away at the age of 88 years. Cecile was predeceased by her loving husband, Telesphore, in 1993. Left to cherish her memories are her five adult children and their families, Rene, his wife Joanne, and their son Kristopher; Jeannette, her husband Leroy of Calgary; Roger, his wife Joanne and son Kevin of Calgary; Marcel, his wife Joan and their sons, Louis, his wife Michelle, and daughter Lindsay; and Marc, his wife Kim, and daughter, Renee; Stella, her husband Georges and children, Guy, Paul and Suzanne. Also surviving are her sisters, Bertha Beaudry of Elie and Irene Marchand of Fargo, ND; her sisters-in-laws, Mirza and Antonia Rivard; her brother-in-law Alfred Trembla, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Cecile, also known as "ma tante Cecile" to many people, lived her life loving and caring for her family, her friends and her community. The celebration of her life and spiritual journey will be held at the St. Eustache Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, June 29 at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family invites their relatives and friends to give to a charity of their choice or to plant a tree or shrub as a symbol of bringing new and continued life and beauty to the planet. The family extends special thanks and appreciation to all her relatives, friends, neighbours at the Chalet St. Norbert, and the care givers at Oakview Place especially Gina and her roommate Marion Robertson, for their caring support and love.
